Body Heat is a 1981 American neo-noir film written and directed by Lawrence Kasdan. It stars William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Richard Crenna, Ted Danson, J.A. Preston, and Mickey Rourke. It may be cited as an example of postmodern pastiche, as its sets are an intentional mix of visual eras. The plot of the film is heavily inspired by Double Indemnity.

A substantial portion of the film was shot in downtown Lake Worth, Florida; and in the oceanside enclave of Manalapan. Both communities are located in east-central Palm Beach County, Florida. Additional scenes were shot on Hollywood Beach, Florida in southern Broward County, Florida.

The film launched Turner's movie career. Empire magazine cited the film in 1995 when it named her one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History. The New York Times wrote in 2005 that, propelled by her "jaw-dropping movie debut [in] Body Heat... she built a career on adventurousness and frank sexuality born of robust physicality." Turner would ultimately become one of the top box office draws and most sought after actresses in the 1980s and early 1990s.A copy of this film was made by bollywood as Jism (film).

Color of Night

Color of Night is a 1994 erotic mystery thriller film starring Bruce Willis and Jane March, made by Cinergi Pictures and released in the United States by Hollywood Pictures.

It is one of two well-known works by director Richard Rush, the other being The Stunt Man 14 years before. As a measure of the difference between the two, The Stunt Man had three Academy Award nominations, whereas this film received a 1994 Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Picture.
To its credit, Color of Night did win a Golden Globe nomination in the category Best Original Song — Motion Picture for its theme song "The Color of the Night," performed by Lauren Christy.
It flopped at the box office but did well in the home video market, becoming a top-five renter.
Maxim magazine singled it out as having the Best Sex Scenes in film history.

Romeo Is Bleeding

Romeo Is Bleeding is a darkly comic 1993 crime film starring Gary Oldman and Lena Olin, directed by Peter Medak. The film's title was taken from a song by Tom Waits.

Despite featuring established stars (Oldman had appeared in the starring role of Francis Ford Coppola-directed blockbuster Dracula only a year prior), the film failed to make a significant impact at the box office, and it received a generally unenthusiastic reaction from critics. In recent years, the film has gained a cult following despite its initially lackluster reception.

Sliver is a 1993 film based on the Ira Levin novel Sliver about the mysterious occurrences in a privately owned New York highrise apartment building. Phillip Noyce directed the film, from a screenplay by Joe Eszterhas. Because of a major battle with the MPAA (which originally gave the film an NC-17 rating), the filmmakers were forced to make extensive reshoots before release. These reshoots actually necessitated changing the killer's identity.

According to the movie, the tall and narrow sliver building is located at 113 East 38th Street in Manhattan, placing it at 38th Street and Park Avenue. The actual building used in the film is known as Morgan Court, located at 211 Madison Avenue New York, one block west and two blocks south of the fictional address. In the Spider's Web is 2007 American made-for-television natural horror film produced by RHI Entertainment and directed by Terry Winsor. It aired on various video on demand channels, before officially premiering in the United States on the Sci Fi Channel on August 26, 2007. It is the second film in the "Maneater" film series, a set of horror films produced in partnership with Sci Fi. The film follows a group of backpackers in an Indian jungle after one of the team is killed by a poisonous spider. In a nearby village, they meet American physician Dr. Lecorpus and learn that he is part of a ritual feeding people to the spiders, and that they are next on the menu.

Killing Me Softly is an erotic thriller 2002 film directed by Chen Kaige and starring Heather Graham and Joseph Fiennes. Based on the novel by Nicci French (pen name of Nicci Gerrard and Sean French), it introduces several substantial changes to the story and focuses heavily on the intense sexual relationship between the two lead characters, including several nude scenes. The film was given an "R" rating by the MPAA, and was released unrated on DVD.

The film was Kaige's first, and to date only English-language film.

The last seduction

The Last Seduction is a neo-noir 1994 film directed by John Dahl.
The movie features Linda Fiorentino as the femme fatale, Peter Berg as a small town man whose one night affair turns into more than he wanted, and Bill Pullman as Fiorentino's husband who is chasing her and running from loan sharks at the same time. Fiorentino's performance generated talk of a possible Oscar nomination but she was disqualified because the film was shown on cable television (HBO) before it was released to theatres.

The movie was produced by ITC Entertainment and theatrically released by October Films. The direct to video sequel The Last Seduction II followed in 1999 featuring none of the original cast and starring Joan Severance as the character Fiorentino originated.
